With funding from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation and the Family & Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region Foundation, the twelve organizations that make up the Resilience Project create and host programs and events to increase resilience. The ultimate goal is not just to bounce back – it’s to bounce forward to a more positive future.

Every year we host a Celebration of the Arts concert to showcase the work that the kids have accomplished while attending our Creative Space, Music Academy and Players Theatre programs. In years past other organizations and performers have helped us with this celebration by offering us performances of their own. This year we are hosting the concert virtually, but we still have the support of other artists in our community. The AFRO Cultural Enrichment Drumming Circle will be performing, Joni NehRita will be playing some songs for us and White Owl will be documenting the celebration! We will also showcase some of the wonderful art that the kids have made at the Family Centre, play a few electronic songs that the kids have made and play a few fun theatre games virtually.
